Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Lapeer, Michigan. The OR RN will support perioperative care, preparing the operating room, managing equipment, and collaborating with the surgical team to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

The role requires OR RN experience, valid RN license, and BLS. Preferred certifications include ACLS/PALS/ENPC and CNOR. 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week, dayshift, travel contract.

Qualifications

• One year of OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS/PALS/ENPC certifications optional per preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies for each case.
• Position and prep patients for surgery ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain sterile field and follow infection control procedures.
• Assist with instruments and supplies to support the surgical team.
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and document changes.
• Handle instruments and equipment and ensure proper sterilization and disposal.
