Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week assignment in Petoskey, Michigan. The position offers 40 hours per week, dayshift, and a travel employment type to support perioperative patient care.

The OR RN will prepare the OR, manage instruments, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care while adhering to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience is required.
• Valid RN license in the state regulations is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC certifications are preferred; CNOR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and ensure sterile setup for each procedure.
• Position and prep patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team and provide instruments promptly.
• Document patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Assist in room turnover and restock supplies between cases.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safety and quality.
