Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel OR RN for a Huntington, West Virginia assignment. The role runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, offering competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

As an OR RN, you’ll prepare the OR, manage equipment, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality perioperative care. Requirements include one year of OR RN experience and active RN licensure.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Active RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies for each procedure.
• Assists in positioning and prepping patients for surgery, ensuring safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates team needs, providing instruments and support promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents changes.
• Manages instruments, sterilization, and disposal per protocols.
• Documents patient care and participates in handoff communication.
• Restocks and cleans the OR between cases, ensuring turnover efficiency.
• Complies with hospital policies and safety rules; adheres to PPE usage.
