Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN - Operating Room in Gardner, MA for a 13-week assignment. The role requires MA RN licensure and OR experience, with 4x10 hour days and 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM shifts. On-call nights and weekends, along with facility floating, are part of the schedule.

The assignment includes a travel position with potential stipends and comprehensive benefits. Prior OR experience and MA licensure are essential to be considered.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience.
• BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred.
• Meditech charting experience required.
• Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Skilled in a broad range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, ENT, and pediatric procedures.
• Proficient with electrosurgical units, Hana Table, and Steris equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide variety of surgical specialties and procedures.
• Perform tasks such as specimen handling, IV starts, catheterization, cardiac monitoring, and wound management.
• Follow Universal Protocol (time-out) procedures and infection control practices.
• Expected to work some holidays.
• RTO should be minimized and approved prior to start.
