Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse for Normal, Illinois. The role covers circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant duties in an OR setting, with an 13-week duration and 40 hours per week.

Accommodation is for travel assignments, with required ACLS/BLS and 1–2 years acute care experience. The travel RN will assist physicians and staff during surgery, provide pre- and post-surgery education, and coordinate with the operating team.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required.
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse or scrub nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication.
• Serve as the communication liaison between patients and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan for medication and home care needs.
• Support circulating or scrub roles as assigned.
