Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Hermiston, Oregon. The role emphasizes OR nursing duties, patient care, and education across the perioperative period.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurses, with potential RN first assistant exposure. This travel assignment includes 13 weeks at 36 hours per week on day shifts.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Oregon required.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse.
• Potential RN first assistant experience considered a plus.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients and provide pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Serve as communication liaison between patients’ families and the operating team.
• Ensure procedures are correctly performed and monitor patient during surgery.
• Initiate patient education on medications and home care needs.
• Support circulating/scrub/RNFA roles and adapt to assigned duties.
