Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. This role offers the opportunity to join a dedicated clinical team and impact perioperative patient care while enjoying travel benefits.

The OR RN will prepare the operating room, assist the surgical team, ensure infection control, and maintain patient safety throughout the perioperative process in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Active RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications are preferred.
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors the patient’s condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of changes.
• Manages specimen collection, labeling and transport per protocols.
• Documents all aspects of perioperative patient care.
• Participates in handoff communications and post-operative care.
