Job summary

Advantis Medical Staffing is seeking an Operating Room Travel Nurse in Powell, TN for a 13-week assignment at North Knoxville Medical Center. The RN will circulate, verify patient/site counts, and support sterile technique across cases on a 4x10 schedule with Days shifts.

Weekly pay is $2,269, and Day 1 benefits are provided by Advantis for fast-start credentials. The role requires 2+ years of OR nursing experience and an active Tennessee RN license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
• Active Tennessee RN License.

Responsibilities

• Circulate for surgical procedures and, when trained, perform the scrub role.
• Advocate for patient safety under anesthesia and verify consent/site documentation; participate in surgical time-outs.
• Monitor and protect the sterile field; reconcile instrument, sponge, and sharps counts with the perioperative team.
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs; manage supplies, equipment, positioning, and specimen handling per facility protocol.
