Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an OR Travel Nurse (RN) to work in Lapeer, MI. The assignment is 13 weeks, with 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts as an OR Circulate, Scrub, or RN First Assistant. Immediate opening for an experienced circulating nurse in acute care.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse and RN First Assistant potential. NICU or other specialties not required.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum acute care experience as circulating nurse or scrub nurse
• RN First Assistant potential
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications
• Serve as communication liaison between patient/family and operating team
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the patient
• Initiate patient education plan for medication and home care
