Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Operations to lead Travel Services programs and support functions across stores and field leadership.

You will drive operational excellence through process improvements, governance, and program execution to scale and sustain initiatives aligned with retail objectives. You will own vendor partnerships, develop tools and resources for business execution, and guide the rollout of new initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in retail operations, business management, or related field.
• Proven operational leadership and program management experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strategic thinker with ability to influence outcomes across functional areas.
• Results-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience creating guides and training materials.
• Background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of Travel Services and related programs.
• Oversee functional operations, support infrastructure, compliance, and controls.
• Develop tools and processes to improve execution and simplify operations for stores and field leadership.
• Guide development and adoption of resources that support business execution.
• Maintain core operational procedures and support structures for retail stores.
• Manage an operations support team to meet sales, service, and execution goals.
• Resolve operational, vendor, and process-related issues; escalate as needed.
• Support training, documentation, and communications for stores and field leadership.
• Lead new initiatives and special projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with business owners to operationalize initiatives and strategies.
• Drive adoption and execution through field leadership; communicate priorities clearly.
• Oversee vendor relationships and service providers to meet performance standards.
• Roll out new programs, services, and operational processes with proper field messaging.
