American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Fargo, ND, within a Level 1 Trauma acute care setting. ND or compact RN license is required along with BLS and large-hospital OR experience.

The role features 40 hours per week on days, with potential 8–10 hour shifts, call duties, and occasional campus rotations. Travel and licensure reimbursements are provided by American Traveler.

Qualifications

• Experience with facilities with 15+ OR suites.
• Experience with robotics, especially Da Vinci, is preferred.

• EMR system used is Epic.
• Operating room uses robotics, cautery, lasers, laparoscopic and arthroscopy tools.
• 1:1 patient care in the OR; circulating and assisting sterile prep.
• Cite habit: badge in/out on facility time.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level 1 Trauma acute care setting requiring a ND or compact RN license and large hospital OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in a hospital acute care setting within a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Work in a 25-suite Operating Room handling 75 to 100 cases daily
• Typical shift is 8, possibly 10 hour days, with rotation to pm shift and assignment to stay late as needed
• Call required 1 to 2 days per week and every 3 to 4 weekends
• May rarely float to Broadway or South University campuses if needed
• EMR system used is Epic
• Operating room uses equipment including robotics (Da Vinci preferred), Accudose, cautery, lasers, laparoscopic, and arthroscopy tools
• Patient care is 1:1 in the OR
• Primary responsibilities include circulating, documenting, sterile prepping, catheter insertion, positioning patients, opening sterile supplies, and equipment setup
• Scrub color is provided Ceil Blue
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates must not reside within a 60 mile radius of the facility; those within 60-80 miles qualify only for a local pay rate
• Returning employees must have ended previous employment at least 6 months prior to consideration

Requirements

• Active ND or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years recent OR RN experience in a large hospital (250+ beds) with Level 1 Trauma status
• Experience working in facilities with 15 or more OR suites
• Experience with general surgical cases, GYN, urology, and laparoscopic procedures required
• Experience with some neuro and ortho procedures and navigation systems preferred
• Outpatient center experience is not a match
• Experience with robotics, especially Da Vinci, is preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
