American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel assignment in Albuquerque, NM. The RN must have at least two years of large operating room experience and hold a NM or compact RN license. The role involves scrubbing and circulating in the OR and working 10-hour days, four days a week.

Qualifications

• Active New Mexico or compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
• Minimum two years of recent experience in a large operating room.
• Must be able to scrub in the OR.
• Associates degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
• Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required.
• Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based operating room setting.
• Patient population includes surgical patients across various specialties.
• Requires the ability to scrub and circulate in the OR.
• 10-hour day shifts, four days per week, typically 0630-1700.
• Floating to other departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.
• Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required, with on-site training available.
• Experience with ortho, EENT, and/or vascular procedures is a plus.
• No local candidates permitted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Returning employees must wait a minimum of one year before being eligible as a traveler.
• Responsible for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and patient families for coordinated care.
