Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Oncology RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a facility in Miami, FL. The RN will provide specialized cancer care, administer treatments, manage side effects, and educate patients and families while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year Oncology RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS; OCN and ACLS are preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Oncology RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about oncology procedures and treatments.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per oncology nursing techniques.
• Monitor and manage cancer patients' comfort, safety and side effects.
• Maintain accurate nursing assessments and documentation in medical records.
• Respond to life saving situations per oncology standards and protocols.
• Develop individualized education plans for patients and families.
