Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Grand Rapids, MI. The RN will provide specialized care to cancer patients, administer treatments, monitor side effects, and educate patients and families within a multidisciplinary team.

Required qualifications include one year of Oncology RN experience, a valid MI RN license, and current BLS. Preferred certifications include OCN and ACLS, with eligibility for licensure and CEU reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Oncology RN is required.
• Active RN license in Michigan per state regulations is required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) is required.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about oncology procedures and treatments.
• Administer prescribed medications and oncology treatments.
• Prepare and maintain oncology equipment and assist oncologists during treatment.
• Monitor patient comfort, safety, and side effects; adjust care as needed.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately.
• Participate in oncology quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes.
