Job summary

TravelNurseSource is working with Prime Staffing to place an Oncology RN in Oakland, California, for a 13‑week assignment. The role involves compassionate cancer care, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and patient education.

Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in oncology or infusion, an active RN license, and BLS certification; ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification is preferred. Days shifts with a 5x8 schedule.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in CA or Compact state
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• The Oncology RN provides care to patients undergoing cancer treatment.
• Administer chemotherapy and medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families, and support emotional well‑being.
• Collaborate with oncologists and multidisciplinary teams to tailor care plans.
