Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide infusion-center care for oncology patients in Lewiston, Maine. The role includes administering chemotherapy and related therapies, performing assessments, and coordinating with the oncology team.

The assignment runs for 12 weeks with pay on a per-shift basis. Requirements include an active RN license in the state, BLS and ACLS on hire, and at least one year of oncology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
