Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for Hayward, CA. The role runs for 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week in day shifts, requiring NBCOT (COTA) and BLS, and CA licensure.

The OTA will work under an OT to implement treatment plans, document progress, and educate patients and families to improve daily living skills across ages.

We're looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) for an immediate travel opening in Hayward, CA.

As a OTA, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients of all ages develop, improve, or recover the skills needed for daily living and working. You will assist in implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals and functional abilities.

As an OTA, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT to support treatment plan adjustments.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and in a timely manner per facility and state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.

Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. The ideal candidate must hold a current BLS and COTA National certification. State-specific licensure is required.

OTAs should be able to lift and assist patients safely, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and possess a solid understanding of anatomy, motor function, and occupational therapy principles.
