Job summary

Health Care Administrators Association® (HCAA) is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate patients and develop comprehensive care plans in an acute care setting.

You will review histories, perform assessments, set goals, help patients with daily activities, suggest adaptive equipment, and educate families and employers. NBCOT-OTR certification, state licensure, BLS, and the ability to travel are required, with 8-hour day shifts and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• NBCOT-OTR certification and state licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories, perform assessments, and observe daily tasks.
• Develop individualized OT treatment plans with clear goals.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Review patient medical histories, perform assessments, and observe patient tasks.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with specific goals and activities.
• Assist patients with disabilities to perform daily tasks and recommend necessary equipment.
• Evaluate home or workplace environments to suggest improvements based on health needs.
• Educate patients' families and employers on care and accommodations.
• Assess, record progress, and ensure accurate documentation according to guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged to apply.
• Current NBCOT-OTR certification and state-specific licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
