Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for a Skilled Nursing Facility assignment in Hondo, Texas. The position is a 13-week travel assignment with a 40-hour workweek, typically dayshift (8 hours) on weekdays. Compact license accepted and LTC/Rehab experience preferred.

Lofted requirements include 1+ year OT experience, active OT license, and reference(s). Start date: 10/12/2026. No weekend requirements unless holidays arise; potential tax-free stipends may apply.

Qualifications

• Current OT license required
• Minimum 1 year OT experience
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• New graduates accepted if Level II fieldwork completed

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and ADL disorders and develop plans of care
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide interventions
• Provide rehabilitation including ADL retraining, activities and exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans according to standards
• Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers
• Communicate with supervisors and health-care team about progress and plans
• Complete discharge summaries and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic system
• Participate in patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings
• Supervise OT assistants, aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts and ethics standards
