Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Merced, CA. The OT will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapy to help patients regain independence and improve quality of life.

Strong licensing, ACLS/BLS, and ongoing collaboration with the clinical team are essential. Travel roles offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits within a supportive traveler program.

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred).
• NBCOT OTR certification (preferred).
• New grads welcome to apply for OTA experience.

Responsibilities

• Create personalized therapy plans based on patient assessments and goals.
• Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions per treatment plan.
• Use adaptive techniques and equipment to improve daily living activities.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals and strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team for holistic care.
• Track progress with regular evaluations and document in medical record.
• Participate in quality assurance and stay current with best practices.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Assist in discharge planning for community or home-based settings.
• Perform additional duties within scope of practice.
