Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in Albuquerque, NM. The role runs for 13 weeks, starting 11/09/2026, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week and a 5x8 shift (08:00–16:30) in a skilled nursing facility.

The ideal candidate will hold an active NM OT license (or eligibility), possess a Master's or Doctorate in OT, and preferably NBCOT certification, with 1 year of experience in SNF or geriatric settings.

Qualifications

• Active OT license in good standing with eligibility for NM licensure or current NM licensure.
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification preferred or eligible.
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience preferred, ideally in SNF or geriatric settings.
• Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment and within a travel assignment.
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with an interprofessional team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial OT evaluations and ongoing reassessments for residents in the skilled nursing setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize independence in ADLs and functional mobility.
• Administer therapy sessions, monitor progress, and adjust goals as needed.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries per regulatory requirements in the EHR.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, payer requirements, and facility policies.
