Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, Ohio. The OT will evaluate patients, develop care plans, and guide therapy in an acute care setting. Requires 6 months of OT experience and current BLS and NBCOT-OTR licensure.

Travel OT work involves 40 hours per week, 8-hour days, and duties such as documenting progress, educating families, and adapting plans to patient needs. TotalMed offers weekly pay, benefits, and support for travelers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months OT experience; new grads welcome.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification with state licensure.
• Ability to stand, walk long periods and bend or stoop.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Must meet state licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe tasks.
• Evaluate patient condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with goals and activities.
• Assist patients in performing activities and adapting home/work environments.
• Educate family and employer on care needs and accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and instruct patients on use of equipment.
• Document activities and progress for billing and reporting to physicians.
• Provide timely documentation following guidelines and regulations.
