Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 12-week assignment in Independence, Missouri. The OT will evaluate patients, develop a plan of care, and provide therapy in an acute care setting, working 40 hours per week with days shifts.

Requirements include NBCOT-OTR certification, BLS, and state licensure, plus 6–12 months of experience. New grads considered with appropriate background. The role offers travel pay, tax-free stipends, and weekly pay through TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with goals and activities to help the patient.
• Assist patients with various disabilities in daily tasks.
• Evaluate home or workplace to identify improvements for patient care.
• Educate family and employer on care and accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and instruct patients on use.
• Document patient progress and follow billing/physician reporting guidelines.
