Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Mother Baby - Post Partum travel assignment in Machias, Maine. You will cover labor, delivery, postpartum, antepartum, nursery, and post-op gynecological care on a 12-hour night schedule.

The position requires ME or compact RN licensure, 2+ years RN experience (1+ year in acute care), and OB nursing proficiency. Benefits include tax-free stipends and travel/licensure reimbursements, with comprehensive health coverage from day one.

Qualifications

• Active ME or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience, including at least 1 year in acute care
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, STABLE
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate
• Demonstrated OB nursing competency, strong written and oral communication, and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Work in OB unit covering labor, delivery, postpartum, antepartum, nursery, and post-op gyne patients
• Night shift schedule 7:00 pm–7:00 am
• 13-week assignment in an acute care hospital setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for mothers and newborns
• Care for OB patients including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecological patients
• Perform general nursing and unit-specific skills independently
• Participate in team-based care with physicians and other hospital staff
