Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2+ years of experience for an OB/GYN imaging setting. Required registries include vascular and cardiac/general, with on-site direct patient care in a daytime schedule.

The role demands ARRT-VS/RVT/RVS and ARRT-S/RDMS/RDCS/RCIS/RCS/RCCS credentials, BLS/ACLS, and clearance of license where applicable; bilingual abilities and Epic/EMR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology or Sonography Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Current BLS or ACLS certification required.
• One of the following vascular credentials required: ARRT-VS, RVT, or RVS
• One of the following additional credentials required: ARRT-S, RDMS, RDCS, RCIS, RCS, or RCCS
• License required if applicable
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions
• Experience with fetal heart monitoring, fetal ultrasound, maternal fetal medicine, and OB/GYN imaging preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish and Epic/EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound and sonography procedures in an OB/GYN imaging department
• Day shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Navy scrubs required as uniform
• Direct patient care role performed on-site
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Prepares patients for exams, explains procedures, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of images
• Maintains patient flow and ensures delivery of quality imaging services
• Acts as a resource and mentor to less experienced technologists and introduces new techniques
• Reviews incomplete exam lists and unsigned report statuses routinely
• Serves as liaison between physicians, technologists, and support staff
• Enters and monitors patient data and health history relevant to exams
• Performs quality assurance on ultrasound equipment and helps resolve equipment malfunctions
• Assists with ACR accreditation applications and renewals
• Accepts local candidates
