Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse in Madison, WI. This role involves providing family-centered, highly specialized care to critically ill children in a state-of-the‑art 21-bed unit. The nurse will work in a multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical issues, including head injuries, neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, and post‑transplant care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week, from 07:00 pm to 07:30 am, with a rotation of every other weekend and holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license, BLS certification through the American Heart Association, PALS certification through the American Heart Association, pediatric ICU experience, Basic Arrhythmia experience, and a baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: NICU experience, Pediatric CVICU experience, and prior float experience to general pediatric units.
• Additional Information: The position requires candidates to pass strict telemetry and cardiac interpretation assessments. Candidates must have at least two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the relevant specialty. Transportation permits and adherence to floating policies are also necessary. COVID‑19 vaccination is not required; flu vaccination is mandatory unless a medical or religious exemption is provided.
