MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU for a 13-week assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. The role is a 12-hour night shift, 36 hours per week, starting 10/12/2026, with a travel nursing focus in a pediatric ICU setting.

The RN will join a team caring for critically ill children, collaborating with families and clinicians, and meeting agency credentialing and housing options provided by MedPro.

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care NICU setting
• Active RN License
• PALS & NRP Certifications
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with families, physicians, and healthcare staff to determine care plans.
• Provide care for children and adolescents up to age 18 with life-threatening conditions.
• Monitor patients closely and report to pediatrician and family.
• Maintain constant monitoring and communicate about recovery expectations to care team.

Duties Responsibilities

• The Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), a high-tech children’s services area for critically ill, medically complex, and/or post-surgical patients.
• The pediatric intensive care RN collaborates with families, physicians, and other healthcare officials to determine the best course of patient care and recovery.
• Provide care for children and adolescents, usually up to the age of 18, with life-threatening or high-acuity conditions that require constant monitoring.
• Prioritize careful monitoring of patients, and reports regularly to the pediatrician, and family on the patient's condition, and what they can expect in recovery.
