Job Summary

TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a Pediatric RN for a 13‑week travel nursing assignment in Des Moines, Iowa.

Position Details

• Specialty: Pediatrics
• Discipline: RN
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12‑hour nights
• Employment Type: Travel

Responsibilities

• Provide age‑appropriate care to patients.
• Help patients feel comfortable during examinations and procedures.
• Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
• Assess for critical signs and symptoms in pediatric and adolescent populations.
• Assist treating physicians during examinations, treatments and procedures.
• Provide information, education and support to patients' family members.
• Stand and walk for long periods, lift and move patients as required (up to 50 lbs).
• Work safely around chemicals, infectious diseases and other patient‑care hazards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute‑care experience.
• BLS and PALS certification (additional certifications may be required prior to assignment).
• Ability to lift 20 pounds and move patients up to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lean and stoop for extended periods.
• Strong communication and family support skills.
