Job summary

Cross Country Nurses in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment on the Progressive Care Unit. The role involves 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with a six-week rotation that includes six weekend shifts.

The position requires an active RN license, ACLS/BLS, NIHSS, and a minimum of two years' experience in a similar step-down setting. Orientation includes classroom training and two 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• ACLS & BLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• RN license valid and active.

Responsibilities

• Interpret telemetry data and titrate drips (heparin, insulin, octreotide).
• Manage IV infusions (Cardizem, nitro).
• Support a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on a fast-paced Step-Down unit.
• Float to ICU/ED as needed per ability.
• Follow fingernail policy and geographic eligibility rules.
