Responsibilities

• Provide care to Med/Surg patients during night shifts.
• Float to surgical, neuro, and intermediate units as needed.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6.

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med Surg 4 North

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a (12x3) 36 hours per week, Every Other weekend

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• NC or Compact License
• 2+ years experience
• Must have Cerner experience, IV competency
• Associate or bachelors in nursing
• BLS
• Charge experience preferred

• EHR: Cerner
• Float Requirements: as needed, float to surgical, neuro, intermediate (will take med surg level patients)
• Number of Beds: 18
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, PCA pumps
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, end of life care/hospice, falls, weakness, sepsis, infection
• Must be 60 miles or greater to be considered Travel
