PEL/VIP is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia. The assignment is 12 weeks long, with 40 hours per week and nights shifts on 8-hour blocks. The unit encompasses Med/Surg and Telemetry in a Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital.

The ideal candidate has 2 years Med/Surg/Tele RN experience, BLS, EKG competency, and a willingness to work a rotating weekend schedule. ACLS and national certification are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with orthopedic, trauma, and chronic diseases.

• Engage in care coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
• Facilitate discharge planning and patient education.

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the MedSurg/Tele unit. This role involves working in a Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital with a robust team to care for patients with various medical-surgical needs. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Weekend Rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 (on a 6-week schedule)
• Holiday Expectations: Work one shift of each major holiday
• Floating: All adult med-surg/telemetry units in house
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2250 (negotiable)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Census: 35
