PEL/VIP seeks an experienced RN for Med/Surg/Telemetry in Macon, GA. You will provide comprehensive patient care, monitor cardiac rhythms, manage infusions, educate patients, and coordinate discharge planning in a teaching hospital setting.

The role requires at least two years of Med/Surg/Telemetry experience, strong assessment skills, and the ability to float across Med/Surg/Telemetry units as needed. Travel assignment with 12-week duration and 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Required: BLS certification.
• Experience with trach care, chest tube management, IV starts and maintenance.
• Strong assessment and time management skills.
• Proficiency in tele skills including monitoring post-cath patients.
• Preferred: ACLS certification.
• Certification in med-surg nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in med-surg/telemetry settings.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Manage drips such as insulin, heparin, Cardizem, and others.
• Perform patient education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for patient care coordination.
• Float to all Med/Tele units as needed.

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN specialized in MedSurg/Telemetry to join our inpatient med-surg units. This role involves providing high-quality patient care to individuals with acute or chronic diseases, cardiac conditions, and post-surgical needs. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of Med/Tele RN experience and be proficient in patient assessment and care coordination.
