PEL/VIP is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia. Join our Med/Surg/Telemetry unit and provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele RN experience, BLS, and strong assessment skills. Shifts are 12 hours, nights, with 36 hours per week; EPIC is the charting system used.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience.
• BLS Certification required.
• Strong assessment and time management skills.
• Tele skills and experience managing specific drips.
• ACLS Certification preferred.
• Med Surg Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to med-surg and telemetry patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Manage chest tubes and tracheostomy care.
• Administer IV medications and drips, including insulin, heparin, and more.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care coordination.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge plans.
