Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Acute Care for a travel nursing job in Florence, South Carolina. This LTAC RN will provide direct nursing care for high-acuity patients, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and support discharge planning in a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on nights.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of LTAC experience, current BLS, and is eligible for state licensure; ACLS may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience in LTAC or high acuity setting.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• State licensure eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, monitor vitals and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care, and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers for treatment plans.
• Support patients with mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs to ensure quality care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility safety standards.
• Participate in rounds and communicate patient status updates.
• Document all care activities accurately and in real time.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.

We're looking for Registered Nurses (RNs) for an immediate travel opening in an LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) facility in Florence, SC.

The right RN should have at least 1 year of recent experience in a Long-Term Acute Care or similar high acuity setting. Read below for more requirements.

As an RN in LTAC, you will care for patients with serious medical conditions who require extended hospital-level care. These patients often have complex needs such as ventilator support, wound care, or post-ICU recovery. You will be responsible for providing direct nursing care, monitoring patients' conditions, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery and discharge planning.

As an RN, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
