MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Long Term Acute Care for a travel assignment in Florence, South Carolina. The LTAC RN will cover 36 hours per week on night shifts, for a 13-week duration, with start on 10/26/2026.

Requirements include active RN license, a nursing degree, BLS & ACLS, and 18 months LTAC experience, plus vent/trach/telemetry proficiency. Benefits include housing options, travel reimbursements, and medical coverage.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Eighteen months of LTAC experience.
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, ET tubes and reading Tele-strips.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5-6 patients.
• Adjust and perform in fast paced environment.
• Manage admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
• Educate patients and families on procedures and illness management.
• Monitor equipment and interpret telemetry.
• Interpret telemetry readings and notify medical team of irregularities.
• Perform duties of a registered nurse at all times.
• Care for patients with HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, A-Fib.
• Use computers to monitor cardiac and vital signs.
• Start IVs and draw blood, from start to finish.

Duties Responsibilities

As part of the LTAC unit, Long Term Acute Care Nurses (RN) are responsible for caring for patients who require extended medical care.

• Provide care for 5-6 patients.
• Adjust and perform in fast paced environment
• Keep up with many admissions and discharges
• Be able to monitor and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, and through an IV)
• Educate patients and family on surgical processes and how to manage their illness/injury
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and record and interpret electronic displays
• Interpret and understand telemetry readings, notifying appropriate medical team members of any irregularities
• Perform the duties required of a registered nurse at all times
• Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib
• Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information
• Start IV’s, draw blood, see the patient from start to finish
