Job Summary

Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care for women during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care. The position requires flexibility with float duties as needed and adherence to clinical protocols for obstetric and neonatal patients.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission; at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D); certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating and managing high-risk deliveries, and familiarity with electronic medical records system Epic.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Patient diagnoses include Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and normal newborn care.
  • Special procedures involve vaginal and cesarean deliveries, circulating in OR, starting adult IVs, and administering blood products.
  • Special equipment includes epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and high‑risk antepartum settings.
  • Candidate must be available to work a minimum of three major holidays, with all scheduling requests made upfront during submittal.
  • Must include responses regarding prior employment at a Providence facility, if applicable, and provide two recent references covering at least one year of employment.
