The labor and delivery nurse works with Mothers during thefinal stages of pregnancy helping with birthing, monitoring the Mother’s vitalsigns, and becoming astute in signs and symptoms of possiblecomplications. The labor and deliverynurse is involved in patient education and addressing the psychosocial needs ofMothers after delivery and demonstrates critical thinking and performanceability in the coordination of patient care.Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountablein managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patientcare.

High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing over 500+ deliveries per month with 24 hour in-house Attending OB coverage, anesthesia coverage and NICU coverage. Perinatal Transport Program. Expanding early 2026 to a new Women's Tower.. 3x 12 hr shifts per week. Ratios: Typical 1:2 Nurse:Patient, occasional 1:1 based on acuity, rare 1:3 based on staffing/acuity(3x downgrade), on a rotating basis. Precepting may be required.
