The position requires flexibility to float between units, adhering to specific orientation and training protocols.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Days
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, with 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks
• Position Description: Provides nursing care to patients with chronic illnesses, GI issues, infections, neurological conditions, and mental health disorders. Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, inter‑professional communication, and management of IV therapy, wound vacs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and medication drips using electronic record systems and hospital equipment.
• Required Qualifications: IN license (or compact as of July 1, 2020), BLS through AHA, at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience, at least 1 year of experience at a large hospital (450+ beds).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in general medical and surgical units, familiarity with procedures such as colonoscopies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, bronchoscopy, and minor surgeries.
• Additional Information: Supplemental staff will undergo hospital and nursing orientation, including Epic electronic charting classes. Floating to other medical units may be required.
