The role involves evaluating patients with urological conditions, managing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. The position requires active NP/PA licensure, DEA, CPR/BLS, and a Master's in Nursing with 6+ months in LTC/SNF.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted NP/PA license
• DEA license required
• CPR/BLS certification
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Graduate from an accredited NP program
• Minimum 6 months experience in long-term care or SNF
• Urology experience preferred
• Willing to travel to nursing homes within New Jersey

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and medical history taking
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans as needed
• Educate patients and families on disease management and medications
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians for coordinated care

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Travel Nurse Practitioner with experience in Neurology to join our team. As a Travel Urology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with urological conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate issues, and other urological disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical guidelines
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Provide patient education, counseling, and support on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
• Diagnose and treat residents with urology conditions, diseases, and infections
• Document patient encounters, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, using electronic medical record systems

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
• DEA License
• CPR BCLS/BLS certified
• Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
• Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• A year of experience in Urology
• Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
• Must have great organizational and time management skills
• Reliable transportation
• Must be willing to travel to different nursing homes within the state of New Jersey (100% commitment)
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
