Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Travel Nurse Practitioner with experience in Neurology toto join our team. As a Travel Neurology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and non-pharmacologic interventions
- Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide education and support
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure a multidisciplinary approach
- Provide patient and family education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize patient care delivery
- Perform comprehensive assessments to accurately diagnose and treat patients with neurological conditions
- Travel regularly to multiple nursing homes within the designated region to deliver on-site care
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate facility visits and optimize patient coverage
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS certified
- Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- A year of experience in Neurology
- Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
- Must have great organizational and time management skills
- Reliable transportation
- Must be willing to travel to different nursing homes within the state of Indiana (100% commitment)
