Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery on a travel assignment in Liberal, KS. The night shift runs 7p–7a for 13 weeks starting 1 November 2026, with weekly pay between $2,171 and $2,282 and 0 guaranteed hours.

Required: Kansas RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP, 3+ years RN experience, ability to travel, and DS on-site. Healthforce provides 24/7 recruiter support and dedicated assignment support.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience.
• Ability to work nights (7p–7a) and to travel as a traveler; must be at least 45 miles from the assigned site with mileage documented on submission.
• On-site drug screen; DS required as part of compliance items.

Responsibilities

• Provide registered nurse care in labor and delivery, postpartum, couplet care, newborn nursery, and OBGYN post-operative units as assigned.
• Monitor labor progression and fetal status, perform assessments, administer medications as ordered, and document findings per unit protocols.
• Support maternal and newborn stabilization, assist with routine postpartum care, newborn care, breastfeeding support, and family education.
• Collaborate with obstetric teams to coordinate care, ensure patient safety, and maintain infection control and quality standards.
• Respond to clinical changes and emergencies per pathway protocols; assist with post-operative care and transitions of care
