Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience to perform nuclear medicine studies in an acute care hospital setting.

The role requires certification (BLS, ARRT or NMTCB), California license if applicable, and a compact license in hand at submission. The tech will run stress tests, handle IVs, and may float between facilities, with 4x10 hour shifts and 5 holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• BLS, ARRT or NMTCB certification required
• California State License required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at submission
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience with stress testing protocols
• Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine studies in acute care hospital setting
• Handle daily caseload of 5–12 patients
• Conduct bone, cardiac, thyroid, renal, brain, lung, and liver scans
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts with start times 6:00 AM or 7:30 AM
• Operate with Siemens equipment and Epic charting system
• Be available for weekend call
• Potential to float between sister facilities
• Ensure high quality imaging and patient care

• First-time travel candidates will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at same bill rate
• Travel rate eligibility for those living beyond 50 miles
• Comply with facility approval for RTO requests
• Commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays

• Experience with stress testing including exercise/rest and pharmacological stress protocols
• Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital with 212 staffed beds
• 4x10 hour day shifts with variable start times of 6:00 AM or 7:30 AM
• Daily caseload of 5-12 patients
• Primarily basic nuclear medicine studies with high volume of stress tests
• Procedures include bone scans, myocardial perfusion studies, thyroid studies, renal studies, brain scans, lung scans, and liver studies
• Adult patient population in a clinic setting
• Uses Siemens equipment and Epic charting system
• Weekend call required
• Potential to float between sister facilities
• Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging studies including bone, cardiac, thyroid, renal, brain, and lung scans
• Free parking provided
• First-time travel candidates will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application for facility approval
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
