Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 1+ year of experience and Epic charting proficiency for a day-shift assignment.

The role involves adult patient care across nuclear medicine, cardiology, and clinical settings, including bone, thyroid, renal, brain, liver/spleen scans and cardiac perfusion studies. Epic EMR is required; ARRT/NMTCB certification is required; CNMT preferred. Schedule: 5x8-hr days, 8:00–4:30.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of NM experience.
• ARRT/NMTCB certification required; BLS required; CNMT preferred.
• Epic charting/EMR experience required; state license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Nuclear Medicine department serving adult patients.
• Work settings include nuclear cardiology, clinic, and bedside procedures.
• Performs bone, thyroid, renal, brain, lung, and liver/spleen scans.
• Cardiac stress testing with adenosine or exercise/rest protocols.
• SPECT imaging capabilities.
• Uses GE and Siemens equipment.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30.
• Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including bone, thyroid, renal, brain, lung, and liver/spleen scans.
• Conduct cardiac stress testing and myocardial perfusion studies.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
• Accepts local candidates within 90 miles at a lower bill rate.
• Up to 5 non-consecutive RTO days may be requested for approval.
• Only one holiday RTO request permitted during Nov-Jan season.
• All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• ARRT(R) and NMTCB certification required
• BLS certification required
• CNMT certification preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Proficient in storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
• State-issued ID required prior to consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable
