Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT(N)/NMTCB certification to cover two sister hospitals near Albuquerque, NM. The role supports adult patients in a hospital setting with rotating shifts between facilities.

Required are 1 year of NM technologist experience and BLS. Certification is preferred (ARRT(N)/NMTCB). Epic charting, venipuncture, and IV skills are desired as you may travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ARRT(N) and NMTCB certification preferred.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Able to draw venous blood and start/maintain IVs.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and radioactive material storage, handling, and disposal.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department serving adult patients.
• Covers two sister hospitals located 7 miles apart.
• Schedule rotates between facilities: Tuesdays and Fridays at one location, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the other.
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Performs bone scans, 3-phase studies, whole body and limited imaging.
• Performs myocardial perfusion studies including exercise/rest-multiple and pharmacological stress testing.
• Performs renal flow/function and perfusion studies, including with Lasix.
• Performs gastric emptying studies, HIDA scans, and MUGA scans.
• Performs liver/spleen and lung perfusion imaging.
• Uses GE and Siemens equipment.
• May float to like units within scope based on facility needs.
• Pending NM or Compact license accepted if obtained prior to start.
• Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible.
• Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• No travel pairs or groups accepted.
• No RTO approved during the first week of orientation.
