Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in Glendale, CA. The position runs for 12 weeks with a guaranteed 40 hours per week in a hospital-based setting.

Shifts are on a 4x10-day pattern, typically 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, starting 10/26/2026. Must hold California licensure and ARRT/NMTCB certification; venipuncture credentials are required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma/certificate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program; Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent (preferred).
  • Licenses/Certifications: California State Nuclear Medicine License required; ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification required; Venipuncture certification required; Facility-specific ARRT or NMTCB certification required; Venipuncture (IV) certification required.
  • Experience: At least two years of recent experience in nuclear medicine; current BLS certification; current nursing license per the state of assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases, using radioisotope equipment.
  • Prepare and measure radioactive isotopes; calculate doses to be administered by radiologists.
  • Perform screening procedures to support diagnostic interpretation and imaging workflows.
  • Administer intravenous injections in accordance with established procedures, including venipuncture as required.
  • Document all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys; maintain procedure quality control and safety standards.
  • Coordinate patient flow and communicate with care teams; elevate questions or issues to more senior staff as needed.
  • Adhere to department policies and contribute to continuous process improvement.
