Job Summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Truckee, California. Start date: ASAP. 40 hours per week, 8‑hour days. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures and address questions.
• Maintain and inspect nuclear medicine equipment for proper functioning, reporting malfunctions and ensuring compliance with radiation safety standards.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications to patients according to established protocols and safety standards.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions to radioactive drugs or other administered medications, intervening as necessary.
• Operate medical imaging equipment to create images of organs or areas of the body according to physician orders.
• Document procedure details in patient records to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
• Follow hospital safety rules, policies, and radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure to radioactive materials.
• Perform other duties within the scope of Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice as assigned.

Requirements

• One year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
• Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Preferred Qualifications

• Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
• Additional certifications and licenses as required for the position.
