Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Boston, MA, starting 10/19/2026. You will perform and process nuclear medicine imaging procedures (SPECT/CT, PET as applicable) and administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician orders, ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic images.

The position offers 40 guaranteed hours per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, with local residents eligible for a local rate ($10 less within 50

Qualifications

• Active NM registration (NMTCB or ARRT(NM)).
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license.
• BLS or CPR certification.
• Experience in Molecular/Nuclear Imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and process nuclear medicine imaging procedures (SPECT/CT, PET as applicable).
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals under physician orders and monitor patient response.
• Position, prepare, and image patients; optimize acquisition parameters.
• Operate NMIS and RIS/HIS interfaces; document procedures and results.
• Ensure radiation safety, dose tracking, QC/QA, and inventory management.
• Communicate with patients, families, radiologists, and technologists.

This travel assignment is for a hospital-based nuclear medicine team. Shifts are typically weekday days with no weekend coverage. Start date is 10/19/2026 and the contract runs for 13 weeks. Local residents within 50 miles may qualify for a local rate, which is $10 less than the posted bill rate.

• Position, prepare, and image patients; optimize acquisition parameters for diagnostic quality
• Operate Nuclear Medicine Information System (NMIS) and related RIS/HIS interfaces; document procedures and results
• Ensure radiation safety compliance, dose tracking, QC/QA routines, and inventory management
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, radiologists, and technologists; provide patient instruction and compassionate care

Requirements

• Active license/registration: Current NM registration (NMTCB or ARRT(NM))
• Certifications: At least one of NMTCB(PET), NMTCB(NCT), ARRT(CT), ARRT(MR)
• Education: Bachelor of Science in a scientific field with a certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program, OR an associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program plus 2 years of experience by the date of hire
• Licensure: Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR
• Experience/Skills: Experience in Molecular/Nuclear Imaging preferred (SPECT/CT/PET/MR/Optical fusion imaging); ability to work in a hospital setting; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
