Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and expertise on Siemens equipment for a hospital PET CT and nuclear medicine role.

Details

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department that does not perform nuclear cardiology exams
• Adult patient population
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Utilizes Siemens and Philips equipment
• Epic charting system preferred
• May float to like units within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• ARRT (N) and NMTCB certification required, PET certification preferred
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with SPECT, bone, brain, liver, renal, and thyroid studies
• Experience with PET scans, tumor localization, and whole body imaging
• Skilled in venous blood draws, starting and maintaining IVs, and radioactive materials handling
• Experience with lung scans (ventilation/perfusion), HIDA scans, and renal flow studies
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must be located more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and RTO is not permitted during the first week of orientation
• Former employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted for this position
