Requirements include completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology, ARRT and NMTCB certification, state radiology registration, CPR/BLS, and at least 2 years of recent NM experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB).
• Current CPR/ BLS certification.
• 2 years of experience required within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Put patients at ease, obtain medical histories, describe procedures, and answer any questions.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitoring the patient’s physical condition during the course of the procedure.
• Process data and enhance digital images using advanced computer technology.
• Provide images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
