Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. The start date is 07/06/2026. The role is 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts, and is a travel assignment.

Essential Work Functions
  • Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures and address questions.
  • Maintain and inspect nuclear medicine equipment for proper functioning, report malfunctions, and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications according to protocols and safety standards.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene as necessary to ensure their safety.
  • Operate medical imaging equipment to create images per physician orders.
  • Document procedure details in patient records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations.
  • Follow hospital safety rules and radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice.
Required Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
  • Physical Abilities – Must remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with a variety of personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Technical/Motor Skills – Capable of fine manipulation, push/pull, and mobility for procedures and equipment.
  • Mental Requirements – Ability to cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and maintain concentration on detail.
  • Sensory – Visual acuity and effective communication.
